Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Alisa A. Kauffman joined York ENT Associates in 2000. She obtained her Clinical Doctorate in 2012 from AT. Still University. Additionally, Dr. Kauffman obtained her Masters of Science Degree in Audiology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from West Virginia University in 1994 and 1993. Dr. Kauffman has been in practice for 27 years, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of individuals with hearing loss. Dr. Kauffman’s special interest is in the area of hearing aid fittings utilizing the latest in hearing aid technology. Dr. Kauffman enjoys guiding patients through their journey to better hearing.

Dr. Kauffman is a licensed Audiologist in Pennsylvania. She holds the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology (CCC-A) and is a Member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology.

Dr. Kauffman’s passion is Musical Theater and enjoys supporting the Performing Arts.

Dr. Krista Blasetti joined York ENT Associates in June 2010 and has been a practicing audiologist since completing her doctoral studies at Arizona State University in 2007. She is licensed in the state of Pennsylvania and a Fellow of the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology. She completed her Certificate in Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 2007 and a professional member of the American Tinnitus Association. She holds a Bachelor in Science in Supply Chain Management from ASU as well.
During her graduate studies, Dr. Blasetti was the recipient of a Student Clinical Achievement Award (2005), the ArSHA Student Clinical Excellence Scholarship (2006) and two clinical assistantships. Throughout her post graduate studies, Dr. Blasetti completed various clinical practicums to diversify her experience including an externship at the Carl T. Hayden VAMC. Her residency was completed at the Banner Baywood Medical Center and the Arizona State Speech and Hearing Clinic.
At the present time Dr. Blasetti’s professional area of focus is within the vestibular sciences, tinnitus management, hearing aids, assistive technology and diagnostics with a focus on the aging adult population. She enjoys developing strategies and working through the challenges that patients face in various multifaceted communication environments. She has also been a guest lecturer at local venues such as Olli, the JCC and other senior activity centers.
Dr Blasetti grew up in the Adirondacks of upstate NY and then moved to Arizona in 1995. Dr. Blasetti, her spouse and two daughters moved to PA in 2010.

Dr. Kristin Hutton joined the team at the York WellSpan Hearing Center in May 2011. Dr. Hutton graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 2008, as well as a Doctorate of Audiology degree in 2012 from West Virginia University. She is licensed in the state of Pennsylvania and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Dr. Hutton specializes in pediatric and adult audiological evaluations, as well as hearing aid evaluations and fittings while providing comprehensive and personalized care for each patient.

Dr. Hutton was born and raised in York, Pennsylvania. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling and gardening.

Lindsey M. Shade, Au.D., CCC-A : Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Lindsey Shade joined York ENT Associates in September of 2011. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Bloomsburg University in 2008 and went on to obtain her Doctorate in Audiology from the same institution. Dr. Shade is a state-licensed Doctor of Audiology and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Dr. Shade grew up in southern York County and attended Kennard-Dale High School where she first discovered Audiology during a career day presentation. She now resides in east York with her husband, daughter, and son. Having a large extended family and two small children of her own, Dr. Shade highly values interactions with loved ones and is particularly interested in ensuring that her patients are able to engage and fully immerse themselves in life without the strain and isolation often caused by hearing loss.

Dr. Lynne Kessler Davis, an Audiologist with over 15 years of clinical experience, joined York ENT in February 2016. Dr. Davis earned a Doctorate of Audiology at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (present day Salus University) in 2007. She earned a Master of Science in Audiology at Penn State University in 1997, where she completed her certificate of clinical competence. At the undergraduate level, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education (with a specialty in Deaf Rehabilitation) at the University of Arizona in 1991. During her time in Arizona, Dr. Davis was certified as a sign language interpreter at the state level. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology. Dr. Davis focuses on diagnostics and Otoacoustic Emissions for children and adult patients. She lives in southeastern York County with her husband and son.

Jessika N. Schumacher, Au.D., CCC-A : Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Jessika Schumacher joined Wellspan ENT and Hearing Center in June 2021. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2017 and her Clinical Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University in May 2021. Dr. Schumacher holds state licensure in Pennsylvania and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology.

Dr. Schumacher’s areas of professional interest include audiological evaluations, hearing aid care, and patient education with a focus in geriatrics. She enjoys spending time with patients, listening to their needs and concerns, and helping them to improve their quality of life through proper hearing health care.

Dr. Schumacher resides in Lancaster County with her husband and cat. 

Brian K. Flowers, M.D. : ENT Physician/Surgeon

Dr. Brian Flowers joined York ENT Associates in April 1995. He graduated from the
University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1986 and completed his residency in
Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Maryland in 1992. He
completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1993 at Stanford
University Medical Center and a fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology in 1988 at the
Johns Hopkins Medical School. He is Board certified in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck
Surgery, Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Sleep Medicine. He is a founding
member of the International Surgical Sleep Surgery Society. Dr. Flowers practices General
Otolaryngology (ENT) and has special interests in Snoring and Sleep Apnea, Diseases of
the Thyroid and Parathyroid, Nose and Sinus disorders, Pediatric ENT and Facial Plastic
and Reconstructive Surgery.

Andrew R. Shorb, M.D. : ENT Physician/Surgeon

Dr. Andrew Shorb joined York ENT Associates in July 2006. He is board-certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. He specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of all aspects of adult and pediatric ear, nose, and throat disorders. In particular, Dr. Shorb focuses on nasal and sinus surgery, voice and airway disorders, hearing loss and ear surgery, as well as surgical techniques for obstructive sleep apnea. Dr. Shorb, along with Dr. Brian Flowers, has established York ENT Associates as a prolific center for hypoglossal nerve stimulation to treat moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea (INSPIRE Sleep).

Dr. Shorb graduated magna cum laude/Phi Beta Kappa from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He earned SEC Academic Honor Roll from 1995-1997 and was recognized as the Vanderbilt Male Student-Athlete of the year (Cross Country) in 1997. After graduation, he attended Penn State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Dr. Shorb delivered the 2001 College of Medicine Commencement Address and graduated as a member of the AOA Medical Honors Society. Dr. Shorb completed his residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Professional memberships include: American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, Pennsylvania Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, Pennsylvania Medical Society and the York County Medical Society.

Dr. Shorb is a native of York, Pennsylvania where he now resides with his wife and two children.

Dr. B. Emmerich Yoder joined York ENT Associates in July 2008 after practicing for two years at the Veterans Affairs Medical Hospital in Washington D.C.. Dr. Yoder received magna cum laude honors from Harvard University. He completed his M.D. at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He then completed his residency at Georgetown University. Dr. Yoder is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. His practice includes all aspects of pediatric and adult ear, nose, and throat disorders and he has special interests including sinus surgery, endocrine surgery, head & neck oncology, sleep medicine, functional rhinoplasty, and local reconstruction following skin cancer resection. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery, the PA Medical Society, and the York County Medical Society.

Dr. Genevieve Andrews undergraduate education was undertaken at The Pennsylvania State University where, in 1998, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Andrews then went on to The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, taking an additional year during medical school to do basic science research in Head and Neck Cancer Molecular Biology made possible by a Howard Hughes Medical Student Research Fellowship grant. Her post graduate medical training consisted of five years of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery residency at Temple University School of Medicine, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, followed by a three-year fellowship in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery – two years of which consisted of a basic science research fellowship in Head and Neck Cancer Molecular Biology – at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Andrews joined the faculty of the Division of Otolaryngology at The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and Hershey Medical Center in 2011 where she practiced for 6 years as an academic Otolaryngologist – Head & Neck Surgeon. Dr. Andrews transitioned from this academic practice to private practice at York ENT Associates in 2018 to focus on the clinical care of patients. She treats patients with many different conditions of the head and neck, though her special interests are in the treatment of head and neck tumors (benign and malignant), cutaneous malignancies of the head and neck (such as melanoma, and squamous cell carcinoma), and obstructive salivary gland diseases which can often be treated minimally invasively with sialendoscopic assistance. Dr. Andrews, her husband, and three children have enjoyed living in the central York area. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to provide excellent Otolaryngologic care close to home at York ENT Associates.
